Regional Express Takes Its Regional Fare Scheme To Albury

PUBLISHED 14 AUGUST 2019

Regional Express (REX) has announced it is extending its community fare scheme to flights between Albury and Melbourne. The airline reached an agreement with Albury City Council to run the scheme for three years through to June 30, 2022.

The fares will cost AUD$99 each way. They will be available for sale up to 30 days prior to travel (subject to seat availability). In addition, all unsold seats within 24 hours of travel will be available for AUD$99.

The fare is available for sale now.

REX runs three services each way between Albury and Melbourne on weekdays, the flight taking one hour, and one service each way on Saturdays and Sundays.

The weekday services include a 06:40 Albury departure and a 19:05 Melbourne departure to allow for a full working day in Victoria’s capital city. There is also a REX lounge available for members at Melbourne Airport.

Albury is the 37th REX destination to benefit from community fares, an initiative to make regional airline travel more affordable for local communities.
