Garuda Indonesia’s low cost offshot Citilink aims to begin Denpasar-Perth-Denpasar flights towards the end of October 2019.
Citilink flies a fleet of A320s mostly around Indonesia. It has forty three A320-200s, eight A320neos, two 737-500s, and four ATR 72-600s. It has a handful of international services – to Penang, Cambodia, Kunming (China) and is one of the few airlines to fly into Dili.
In October, Citilink is adding Perth and Germany (!) to its schedules.
Citilink will be operating its Perth flights using one of its A320s. Their A320s seat 180 passengers in a single class cabin in a 3×3 configuration across 31 rows.
No date for the start of the services appears to be set. A look through Citilink’s booking engine indicates seats are not yet for sale and there are no press releases from either the airline or Perth Airport regarding the flights. However, Routes Online is reporting this and is providing a timetable for the daily flights.

The Denpasar-Perth route is crowded with a number of airlines between them offering a dozen services each way each day. And that flight down to Perth, leaving and arriving in the early hours of the morning looks like no fun at all.
But it will bring more competition and cheap fares onto the route. That will keep the locals happy.
