Air Malindo has just commenced flying into Sydney. It is the fifth Australian destination for the Kuala Lumpur based low cost carrier.
The daily flights commenced last week. With the exception of Air Malindo’s Perth flights, all their flights to Australia stopover in Denpasar. The Sydney flights are no exception. The flight down to Sydney involves the inevitable overnight flight from Denpasar. The flight back to Kuala Lumpur leaves at noon for a more civilised mid evening arrival in K.L.
Air Malindo is operating a 737-900 in the route in a two cabin configuration. The plane has 168 seats in economy and 12 seats in the business class cabin. The business class seats aren’t lie flat, rather the older recliner style. They offer 45” of legroom, free wifi, catering, and the chance of a far better snooze than everyone packed into the 3×3 economy cabin where the ambience is more the traditional low cost carrier model.
