China Southern is making a number of seasonal changes to their Australian services, some of which have been previously reported and some not. The changes affect services to Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

China Southern Adelaide Services

China Southern currently operates three return services a week between Guangzhou and Adelaide. The previously announced plan was to increase this to daily between December 14, 2019 and February 16, 2020. The decision has been made to drop back to five flights a week over this period.

China Southern Brisbane Services

China Southern had announced it was increasing its Brisbane flights from seven to 10 flights a week between December 13, 2019 and  February 9, 2020. This remains unchanged.

China Southern Melbourne Services

However, it is upgrading its daily overnight service out of Guangzhou (CZ381) from an A330-300 to an A350-900 from December 29, 2019. The return A350 service to Guangzhou is CZ382.

Oz Traveller has noted that China Southern is putting an A380 onto one of its daily Melbourne flights over the summer. This remains unchanged.

They have however, tightened the window in which their third seasonal daily flight to Melbourne operates. CZ643/644 was originally operating between December 6, 2019 and February 27, 2020. This A330 service will now operate between December 13, 2019 and February 9, 2020.

China Southern Sydney Services

Also in Sydney, China Southern has tightened the windows in which some of its seasonal services and upgrades usually occur.

The A380 which was scheduled to operate CZ325/326 between December 6, 2019 and February 27, 2020 will now only operate between December 13, 2019 and February 9, 2020.

CZ601/602 which was a seasonal service scheduled to fly between December 9, 2019 and February 27, 2020 will now operate between December 13, 2019 and February 9, 2020
