Air New Zealand is ramping up its Boeing 787 Dreamliner services between Auckland and Singapore in 2020.
Air New Zealand currently jets between the two cities 12 times a week. Between March 29, 2020 and October 24, 2020, they will increase that to 14 times a week. Both flights will be operated by Air New Zealand’s 787-9 Dreamliners.
Air New Zealand’s Star Alliance buddy and codeshare partner on the route, Singapore Airlines, also runs daily flights between Singapore and Auckland. Singapore Airlines will be running a Boeing 777-300ER on this route over this period with the exception of Easter 2020. Over this time, Singapore Airlines will put an A380 onto the route.
It means for for much of 2020 there will be three flights a day between the Auckland and Singapore tagged with a NZ flight number. Alternatively, if you are a KrisFlyer member, you can fly on the Air New Zealand flights which will also operate with SQ flight numbers.
Both airlines offer a quality product on their respective aircraft types. Personally, Oz Traveller would go one way on one and return on the other.
