Singapore Airlines usually adds some extra flights on its Singapore-Adelaide-Singapore route over the summer and this year will be no exception.
Over December 2019 and January 2020, Singapore Airlines will be adding up to four extra flights a week between the two cities.
Plus, SQ operates the only airline lounge in the international departures zone at Adelaide Airport. Their small Adelaide KrisFlyer Lounge sure beats sitting in the departure lounge.
Singapore Airlines’ regular daily flights to and from Adelaide, SQ278 and SQ279 will continue as per the regular timetable.
But the good news is Singapore Airlines is adding a morning departure from Singapore, arriving into Adelaide late afternoon, before heading back to land into Singapore at midnight.
The down flight to Adelaide is SQ277 and will run three days a week in December and four days a week in January. The return flights to Singapore, SQ276, will head back that same day.
The December flights will be operated by A330-300 aircraft and will operate Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays. Note that there will be no flight on December 27, 2019. The January flights will operate on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays using A350-900 aircraft.
This enhanced schedule will operate from December 1, 2019 through to January 31, 2020 inclusive.
The summer Singapore Airlines Singapore-Adelaide-Singapore between these dates will be as follows;
|Dep Singapore (SING)||SQ279||Daily||23:35|
|Arr Adelaide (ADL)||09:05 (+1)|
|Dep Singapore (SIN)||SQ277||Mo, Fr, Sa (DEC)Mo, Fr, Sa, Sun (JAN)||08:30|
|Arr Adelaide (ADL)||18:00|
|Dep Adelaide (ADL)||SQ278||Daily||10:25|
|Arr Singapore (SIN)||15:10|
|Dep Adelaide (ADL)||SQ276||Mo, Fr, Sa (DEC)Mo, Fr, Sa, Su (JAN)||19:20|
|Arr Singapore (SIN)||00:05(+1)|
Note the change of aircraft on SQ276/277 from January 1, 2020. Further, SQ276/77 will not operate December 27, 2019.
In the absence of Qantas international services from Adelaide, it’s good to see Singapore Airlines showing the city a little love.
