Emirates is making some significant changes to its Australian flights throughout November 2019. These changes are temporary and do happen periodically with Emirates.
The routes affected are Dubai-Adelaide-, Dubai-Brisbane, and Dubai-Sydney. The temporary changes include frequency decreases and some aircraft downsizing.
Between Dubai-Sydney-Dubai, the three daily return flights will stay as is. However, EK414/415 is going to be operated by a 777-300ER rather than the regular A380 between November 6, 2019 and November 20, 2019. That means there will be two daily 777-300ER services in Sydney and one A380 service into Sydney for this period.
The A380 should resume service on EK414/415 from November 21, 2019.
Brisbane is losing one of its two daily Emirates services between November 6, 2019 and November 22, 2019. Flights EK430/431 will not be operating in this period.
The other daily A380 return, EK434/435 is unaffected.
EK430/431 will resume flying on November 23, 2019.
Adelaide’s popular daily Emirates service will be cut from daily to five times a week between November 11, 2019 and November 20, 2019.
The net effect is that four Adelaide flights will be cancelled. A check of the Emirates website indicates neither EK440 or EK441 will be operating on Monday November 11, 2019, Wednesday November 13, 2019, Monday November 18, 2019, or Wednesday November 20, 2019.
Emirates makes timetable adjustments periodically. They have traditionally accommodated passengers booked on cancelled flights on alternative flights or provided refunds.
